The TIME FOR LIME concept is situated right on the beautiful beach “Klong Dao” on Ko Lanta Island in southern Thailand. Our "scenery" is a three kilometers stretch of white sand backed by rain forest and jungle. Our location has a professional open-air Thai Cooking School, A much-appreciated Restaurant, Beach Bar and 8 cozy bungalows - TIME FOR LIME is a blend of ”raw & modern” Scandinavian design with elements of local Thai materials. Has FREE Wi-Fi for those who want to bring their laptop and combine work with play. We are unlike many other Thai cooking schools, the owner is a true foodie, and we do this as a passion, not like a machine. We usually conduct only 1 class per day. Not 3 like others. Like the word “Thai” which means free, we are not rigid in our approach and interpretation of a dish, but embrace creativity. In our workshops we also include some Fusion dishes. Thai food combines the best of Eastern cuisines; it is fresh, fast to cook, healthy and totally YUM, YUM! What is most unique is that ALL THE PROFIT goes to Lanta Animal Welfare, founded by Junie the owner, to help the sad situation for the animals on the Island.

OUR COOKING COURSES are built around hands-on preparation – you learn by doing & tasting. You choose form seafood or chicken. We emphasize on information, which offers suggestions


for substitute ingredients, where to buy, how to preserve so you can cook back home and get the right taste. Yes, vegetarians are welcome, (please inform us when booking.)

We believe every meal should be a visual feast. Therefore we have a range of plates, bowls and fresh organic materials to experiment with to create your own ”food art”. This is where our guests get a special grin and say, WOW! Look what I made!
BEHIND TIME FOR LIME

Junie Kovacs is the owner, creator and daily manager of the TIME FOR LIME concept. She is a lifelong food enthusiast, noted graphic and conceptual designer, a true animal lover, born in California who built her reputation in Norway where she lived for many years.

Because Junie is NOT Thai, you will learn the secrets of the Thai cuisine WHY and HOW, which is appreciated greatly from our guests. Her work is known for its cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary surprises.

Cooking school

Junie has been teaching and Cooking Thai cuisine for 19 years in both Asia and Europe. Her Cookbook is out in Norway and will soon be in English as well.

Bim teaches also, she has worked at Time For Lime 3 years, and started to teach in Feb. 2010. She loves food, is funny, and speaks great English and 100% Thai.
